The Boil Water Advisory that was implemented due to the water main leak has been lifted and is no longer in effect.  Please call the Shepherdstown Water Department at 3 0 4-8 7 6-2 3 9 4 with any questions.  The Shepherdstown Water Department apologizes for any inconvenience and would like to thank you for your patience.

The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect.  The Shepherdstown Water Department is waiting on test results from the Jefferson County Health Department.  If you are experiencing cloudy/murky water, please run your water until it clears.  Updates will be provided as they are received.

 

02/20/18 10:00 p.m.

A water valve leak has been detected near the are of the leak that occurred earlier today.  Crews are assessing the situation in preparation for making the repair.  Further updates will be provided as they are received.  The "Boil Water Advisory" remains in effect.

 

02/20/18 - 2:16 p.m.

The water leak has been repaired.  The "Boil Water Advisory" remains in effect until further notice.

 

02/20/18 - 12:58 p.m.

Notice:  This water main break may cause interruption to the entire water system.  A boil water advisory will be in effect for any customers who lose water service.
