The Corporation of Shepherdstown will hold its Municipal General Election on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, to fill two-year terms of Mayor, Recorder and five Council Members. All candidates must file a notarized certificate of announcement. Filing will begin on Monday, February 24, 2020, and end on Friday, March 6, 2020. The certificate of announcement can be printed by clicking on the link below or can be picked up at the Shepherdstown Town Hall, 104 North King Streets. Certificates of announcements must be returned to Town Hall by hand delivery or U. S. Postal Service postmarked no later than midnight of the last day of filing. Candidates are subject to the eligibility requirements of a registered voter which are as follows: must be a U.S. citizen, be a minimum of 18 years of age, be a resident of the municipality, and not be under conviction of a felony or other disqualification.
