The Corporation of Shepherdstown will hold its Municipal Election at Town Hall on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, to fill two-year terms of Mayor, Recorder and five Council Members. Candidates must file a notarized Certificate of Announcement. Filing will begin on Monday, February 26, 2024, and end on Friday, March 8, 2024.
The Certificate of Announcement can be picked up at the Shepherdstown Town Hall, 104 North King Street, or printed by clicking here. Certificates of Announcements must be returned to Town Hall by hand delivery (104 North King Street, Shepherdstown, WV) or U. S. Postal Service (mail to: P.O. Box 248, Shepherdstown, WV 25443) postmarked no later than midnight of the last day of filing. To file a Certificate of Announcement, a candidate must meet the eligibility requirements of a registered voter which are as follows: must be a U.S. citizen, be a minimum of 18 years of age, be a resident of the municipality, and not be under conviction of a felony or other disqualification.
