Philosophy of Policing
We, the members of the Shepherdstown Police Department believe that policing is an interactive, results-oriented partnership between the police and our community. This partnership identifies problems affecting the quality of life in the community, develops strategies to address those problems, and takes responsibility to implement solutions using all available resources.
