The Shepherdstown Town Council will hold a public meeting on Thursday, October 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the Entler Hotel for the purpose of receiving comments regarding the petition for annexation filed by Shepherd University.  The petition requests the Town to annex a portion of real property located at West Campus of Shepherd University on the west side of WV Sec. Rt. 480 (N. Duke Street), located in the Shepherdstown District and Shepherdstown Corporation District, Jefferson County, West Virginia, and is contiguous with the current municipal boundary of the Town of Shepherdstown, all of which is described in a Deed dated the 16th day of July, 2009, and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of County Commission of Jefferson County, West Virginia, in Deed Book 1067, page 325.  A copy of the annexation petition can be viewed at Town Hall.
