Invitation for Bid
The Corporation of Shepherdstown is proposing to construct a new Town Hall and will receive sealed bids, in duplicate, subject to the conditions contained herein, and with the Contract Documents until 3:00 P.M., Local Time, Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at the Shepherdstown Town Hall, 104 North King Street, Shepherdstown, WV, 25443. Bids for furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work for the erection and completion of the new Shepherdstown Town Hall will be opened and reviewed immediately at 4:00 P.M.
The Owner requests that all bidders be available for follow-up questions regarding their bid on Friday, July 9, 2010; please indicate a 3-hr window of availability. Success or failure shall be notified to the bidders as soon as such information is made available by the Owner.
Forms of Contract Documents, including Drawings and Specifications are available by request from the Shepherdstown Town Hall, at 104 North King Street (tel. 304-876-2398) for a cost of $120.00 per set. Bidders who request sets should allow 2 business days to ensure sets are available. Additionally, electronic copies (.PDF) of Contract Documents are available at no cost at the Shepherdstown Town Hall.
The right is reserved, as the interest of the Owner may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received. Receipt of this notice of bids by any contractor shall not be construed as an admission by the Owner of such contractor's qualifications to perform the work contemplated by the bids.
Pre-Bid Conference: All Bidders are required to familiarize themselves with the existing conditions of the project area. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the at the Shepherdstown Town Hall, 104 North King Street, Shepherdstown, WV, at 2:00 PM, local time, Tuesday June 1, 2010. All bidders are encouraged to attend. Contractors may bring subcontractors. Representatives of the Owner and Architect will be present to discuss the project and to answer questions.
